ICCA Stroke 2017

24 March 2017 - 25 March 2017

Acute catheter-based stroke interventions have been proven to be superior to systemic lysis.
However, most strokes are still only treated medically because there are not enough physicians capable of performing these procedures outside of large stroke centers. We want to change this by educating and training interventionalists from different specialities in these procedures.

ICCA Stroke is an interdisciplinary and interactive course with leading experts in the field, recorded cases, step by step presentations, debates and hands-on workshops on catheter-based treatment of acute stroke. You are invited to join leading experts and pioneers in stroke intervention, who will guide you through the different aspects of stroke treatment: patient selection, imaging, indication, how to do it, post-procedural care as well as avoiding and managing complications.

The meeting is designed for interventionalists from all fields specializing in acute stroke intervention, vascular surgeons, neurologists and stroke physicians, anesthetists and anyone involved in endovascular stroke treatment, pre- and postprocedural care.

The ICCA Stroke meeting is facilitated by the World Federation for Interventional Stroke Treatments – WIST with the aim to ensure that acute catheter based stroke intervention procedures are only performed by well trained doctors. The meeting includes an examination and provides the foundation for further training lead by WIST in dedicated stroke centers.

With the meeting attracting around 300 attendees from around the world in 2016, we are confident that ICCA Stroke 2017 will be an even greater success. Join us March 24-25, 2017 in Moscow and get an update on the latest developments in interventional techniques and devices!
